Garrison Re-enactment
The story of the “almost” pig war and how the San Juans became part of the United States.
Each year, a faithful group of folks re-enact what life would have been like during this time of transition between the British and the Americans. We happened to be there during the first day of the festivities.
First order of the day, raising the flag.
This is a clear reminder of how important our national pride is and should be cherished. We loved being a part of this ceremony.
