Samara Welcomes

Oh, I love Samara - this was my favorite place.

This was a medium sized town with a grocery store, local food vendors, and plenty of adventure opportunities. And, of course, a large beautiful beach. We stocked up on food and local fruits and vegetables - they are just so good. We even found a great little meat market. We like to eat as normal as possible when we travel so we don’t over eat or feel poorly. We each had our breakfast routines and then would decide if we ate out at lunch or dinner. It also helped to keep the budget in check.

We use AirBnB as much as we can and found a large, very comfortable home with a pool, just two blocks from the beach. Sometimes it was good to just hang out at the pool… and nap!

First day was just beach time so we rented lounge chairs and an umbrella and then swam, walked, napped, and had food delivered to our beach chairs - it was the life.

It was also fun to watch the kids play, but even better was watching the wild horses play … on the beach. They weren’t afraid of the humans, but didn’t come too close… it was so cool.

We found a large Iguana lounging on a tree nearby. He wasn’t bothered by us one bit and was fun to watch.

At the end of the day, we found a good restaurant, tucked under the shade of large banyan trees. Apparently, the little girl at the table next to us didn’t like wearing clothes. We got a good chuckle out of her.
