Welcome to Uvita
We weren’t planning to go this far south, but it was only another 30-45 minutes and turned out to be so worth it.
We found a beautiful villa tucked down a dirt road with other new homes under construction.
We were on the top floor, overlooking the pool - and grass, a luxury we hadn’t seen in a while. Let the adventures begin.
We were already in love with Uvita. Not only was the house amazing, the local grocery store was so big. It was as big and fully stocked as our stores at home. That was so fun to go shopping and actually find what we were looking for.
Uvita is a water community with exquisite beaches. Katie needed a rest day so Keith and I took off for Uvita Beach. It was virtually empty - we body surfed a bit and then walked over 3 miles out to the point and back.
The point is a seperation between two beach areas - both are like a half moon. In this picture, Keith is standing on one beach and I’m on the rocky ridge with the other beach in the background.
We were a bit pink when we got home and hubby had a blister. Good thing his sister is a nurse. But she’s a labor and delivery nurse so he had to lie down. 😁
