Tropic, Utah

Our journey was to Bryce Canyon for several days of exploring. We arrived late afternoon at Bryce Valley Ranch RV & Horse Park, a beautiful RV park just outside of Tropic, Utah. This was the view from our site.

Checking in, we learned it was the last day of the Annual Mule Days event and there was a concert that night at the stockyard. Well, just how fun is that. We did our chores to get everything set up and headed to town.

But first, I needed the proper attire so we didn’t totally look like city folk!

Picture on the left shows the ‘future ranchers of America’ (all 12 years and under) were trying out their lassoing skills and didn’t care a whit about the concert. The stage was set and some chairs were set up for guests (who didn’t know to bring chairs). Yes, thats the corral, red dirt and all! The small band was local to Utah and very good. Although we didn’t know any of their songs, we could still tap our foot and enjoy the atmosphere. What a great first day!
