Willis Creek Slot Canyon

Everyone recommended the slot canyons for an easy and beautiful hike. It was our last day in Bryce and we took advantage of a cold sunny morning for one last hike… up Willis Creek.

Over the course of 1.5 miles, there were five different canyons with small open spaces in between. This is truly a creek with two sets of falls - we hiked around the falls as they were too narrow and steep. Look closely and you’ll see the rocks are all very strategically placed so we didn’t have any trouble traversing back and forth over the water. I’m a little shorter than most, and was glad to have my walking stick to help propel me over the wider spots.

It was so beautiful, we had to stop and just look.

This is one of the falls, that dropped about 25-30 feet down.

And we met several groups of wanderers of the four legged kind.
